For towns and cities

Collection, landfill and backup power, run as one service

PES takes over landfill and municipal waste operations, runs collection with electric trucks, and adds battery backup so key services keep running.

What the council gets

Landfill takeover

PES operates the landfill and progressively clears it as waste is recovered.

Reliable collection

Scheduled pickup of household and business waste, plastics and tyres, using electric trucks.

Emergency backup

BESS units keep council offices, clinics and pumping stations running during storms and outages.

A steadier grid

Storage smooths solar output and supports the local grid.

The circular system

The council's part of the loop

Collection and sorting are the front end of the system, and the part residents see every week.

  • Collect on a schedule residents can rely on.
  • Sort and load so recycling comes out before anything is processed.

How a council transition works

  1. Site review

We assess the landfill, routes, equipment and power needs.

  2. Service agreement

Scope, service levels and reporting agreed with the council.

  3. Transition

Staff, routes and equipment move over, with existing workers offered roles.

  4. Operate and report

Regular reports on tonnes collected, recovered and diverted.

Scale

From a single town to a whole city

Councils start with collection and the landfill, then add processing lines as the town grows. The same design runs a city.

  1. 1

    Village

    A single community

    • Village collection points and scheduled pickup
    • Solar with a BESS unit for charging and emergency backup
    • Waste taken to the nearest PES hub
  2. 2

    Remote island

    Off-grid or a small grid

    • A compact hub that runs on the island itself
    • Solar, storage and desalination sized to the island
    • AI-assisted operation for a small local team
  3. 3

    Town

    A provincial or outer-island centre

    • Full hub: rotary kiln, tyre pyrolysis and gas cleaning
    • Landfill takeover and an electric collection fleet
    • Power to the town grid and fresh water
  4. 4

    City

A capital or main urban centre

    • More processing lines on the same design
    • Fuel-cell tri-generation and grid support
    • City-wide collection and landfill recovery
Start where the need is

Begin with a single village or island and grow from there.

Add modules, not new plants

Capacity grows in steps that match the waste and power the community actually has.

One network

Villages feed island hubs, and island hubs link to town and city systems.

Let’s talk over coffee

Tell us about your council area and we will arrange a site review. Tell us about your island, town or village, and we’ll set up a conversation.
