For national governments

National infrastructure that turns waste into energy security

PES works with national governments to plan and deliver circular waste, energy and water systems, phased to fit national priorities and budgets.

What a national circular system delivers

Energy security

Local waste and solar supply part of the power that would otherwise come from imported fuel.

Climate commitments

Cutting landfill methane and open burning supports national climate plans, with results you can report.

Water resilience

Waste heat drives desalination, adding a water supply that does not depend on rainfall.

Jobs and skills

Collection, operation and maintenance jobs stay on the island, with training through Bright Sand Canada.

The circular system

The loop, at national scale

A main hub on the capital island sets the pattern. Outer islands follow with systems sized to their own waste and power needs.

  • Power and water for the national grid and utilities.
  • Community benefits shared across islands, not just the capital.

How we work with government

Each nation is served through its own PES national company, jointly owned with local owners.

  1. National assessment

Waste streams, energy use and water supply, island by island.

  2. Master plan

A phased plan aligned to national strategy and priorities.

  3. Financing

Blended development finance and climate funds, structured with your treasury.

  4. First hub

Built and operated on the main island, with local staff trained from day one.

  5. National rollout

Outer-island systems sized to each community.

Scale

One national design, every scale

The same modules serve the capital, provincial towns, outer islands and villages, so a nation can roll out one design, one training programme and one parts supply.

  1. 1

    Village

    A single community

    • Village collection points and scheduled pickup
    • Solar with a BESS unit for charging and emergency backup
    • Waste taken to the nearest PES hub
  2. 2

    Remote island

    Off-grid or a small grid

    • A compact hub that runs on the island itself
    • Solar, storage and desalination sized to the island
    • AI-assisted operation for a small local team
  3. 3

    Town

    A provincial or outer-island centre

    • Full hub: rotary kiln, tyre pyrolysis and gas cleaning
    • Landfill takeover and an electric collection fleet
    • Power to the town grid and fresh water
  4. 4

    City

A capital or main urban centre

    • More processing lines on the same design
    • Fuel-cell tri-generation and grid support
    • City-wide collection and landfill recovery
Start where the need is

Begin with a single village or island and grow from there.

Add modules, not new plants

Capacity grows in steps that match the waste and power the community actually has.

One network

Villages feed island hubs, and island hubs link to town and city systems.

Let’s talk over coffee

Tell us about your national priorities and we will set up a briefing. Tell us about your island, town or village, and we’ll set up a conversation.
